The course pays tribute to Bill Stewart( Missouri Amateur Winner) and his son Payne Stewart who went on tour 11 times, including 1 PGA Championship and 2 U.S. Opens. The design of Payne’s Valley requires accurate iron play( meaning the head of the club is iron and the head is larger, with an angled face and scored with grooves)- making the layout the perfect combination of fun and challenge.
